I was in class this morning with Constance; all who went to the workshop (including Chocolate, tall girl, and JJ) agreed that you did a great job.

You're a rock star here in Houston, and we all hope you will be visiting us again next time you're in the country. And by the way, my hamstring is no longer bothering me, and no sciatic pains either. Another yoga miracle.

Sri.H.S.Arun, the Director of the Yogashraya and his team of dedicated teachers are proud of being committed to adopt and propagating the teachings of Sri. B.K.S.Iyengar through regular classes and remedial classes.
The center has been named after Guruji's son, Prashant, as a mark of respect and love towards him.


Aim

As guided by Guruji himself, the aim of the institute is to develop sensitivity in intelligence and self-attention that make one's well being, both mentally and physically sound and secure.

Regular practice of Yoga helps to raise the level of awareness of the practitioner. Helps in developing physical fitness and efficiency. It enhances his/her sensitivity and poise. The Yogashraya teaches and helps people to practice postures with elegance, enhance his/her self-confidence and then move towards the ultimate goal of self-realization.

Classes are conducted in a specially designed hall with a platform at one end to facilitate demonstration, special flooring, special features like hooks etc., essential for teaching and practice of Iyengar Yoga. It has been designed to provide excellent ventilation, which is very important for a large number of students in a class.
